The assessment of the components exploits ERA5, the fifth-generation of the atmospheric reanalysis developed by European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF). ERA5 covers the entire Globe on regular latitude-longitude grids at 0.25° x 0.25° resolution from January 1950 to present. Each component uses an indicator as a proxy for several hazards. The reference value is computed on 1981-2010 time span while, on a monthly basis, E3CI shows a standardised anomaly with respect to the reference values. The data will be made available at different administrative levels for the period January 1981 – present. The data is updated on the 12th of every month.
